America. The Central Commission of the Salesian School in America (ESA) presents the E-book of the Fifth Continental Meeting, held in Guadalajara, Mexico, from 1 to 5 May 2024, fruit of the shared journey and reflections matured together.
The publication Together for the present and future of the Salesian School in America gathers all the Conferences, the Round Table, the Good Practices, the Thematic Rooms, the Experiences of the Preventive System, the model of Significance, Messages, greetings from the authorities to the participants of the event.
This collective work represents the culmination of thirty years of networking between the Salesian Institutions of the continent, bringing together lay people, religious, and young people engaged in the Salesian educational mission.
The volume presents a broad thematic panorama that includes expert interventions, good pedagogical practices, theological reflections and contributions from the fields of educommunication, artificial intelligence, human rights, pastoral care, and educational leadership. It also provides a summary of the significance model of the Swot Analysis and the priority action guidelines of the different regions.
This publication therefore wants to be an instrument of reflection, formation, and planning for the Salesian Educating Communities of America, reaffirming the commitment to an evangelizing education, inclusive and transformative, inspired by the charism of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello.
The Commission expresses its gratitude to all those who have helped to make this publication possible, for giving us the opportunity to have in our hands, not only a reading, but a living instrument to nourish the educational and pastoral life of each Community.
The Salesian educational history in America continues to stimulate the communities to seek criteria of discernment for the path that opens before them. It is not only a glorious story to remember and recount, but a great story to build together.
The E-book in Portuguese has been published by the Salesian Network of Brazil, also in printed version.
In Spanish it is published by EDEBÉ Mexico.
