Belo Horizonte (Brazil). On 21 and 22 May, a group of Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and laity, together with the Provincial Sister Teresinha Ambrosim, participated in the International Congress on Internationalization and Teacher Formation, proposed by the Catholic University of Brasilia (UCB)in collaboration with the Brazilian Union of Catholic Education (UBEC).

Sisters and lay people, representatives of various sectors of the BMM Province, associated with UBEC, joined the more than 500 participants, confirming the importance of Salesian education in the reflection and development of perspectives on teacher formation and its transforming efficacy towards young people.

The Provincial, Sister Teresinha Ambrosim, stressed that, despite being in competition for the offer, the Associates play an important ecclesial role in synodality, with an educational and inter-congregational confessional proposal that, through charisms, has an impact on the lives of nearly 30,000 students and 5,000 educators.

The fraternity that becomes welcome and closeness was experienced in the visit of the Sisters of the Mother Mazzarello Rest Home of Belo Horizonte to the Provincial House on 23 May.

Welcomed with great affection by the FMA of the Provincial Community, in addition to enjoying a snack shared together, they were able to play bingo, win gifts, and live an unforgettable moment, visiting for the first time the space dedicated to Mother Mazzarello and participating in the coronation of Mary Help of Christians.

In this encounter of music, prayer, and devotion, the Sisters paid homage to Mary, consolidating her inspiring presence for the Institute and for Salesian life.

The visit ended with a prayer together of thanksgiving for the passionate life of every Sister, for the journey in the Mission, and fidelity to the Charism, to which they dedicated their lives.

In this way, the heart was prepared for the great Feast of 24 May, that of Mary, Mother, Teacher, and Help, who said her “Yes” to the Lord and with her maternal mantle continues to cover every community in the world with blessings.

In all the Communities of the Province the Feast was lived with intensity, as in the Provincial See, where the Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Fr. Adano Santos, SDB, who shared this great Feast with the Community. At the end of the Celebration, the FMA gave a picture of the Help of Christians to collaborators, to emphasize the presence of Mary in their midst.

FMA and lay collaborators felt the growing certainty that Mary walks with each and every one of them, guiding them in the beautiful mission and heritage that Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello left to the Institute and to all those who share their Charism with them.
