Catania (Italy) With two sentences, one from Mother Mazzarello and one from Don Bosco, begins the video that presents the initiatives proposed during the time of the pandemic by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Sicilian Province Mother Maddalena Morano (ISI).

“Always remain good, be good with everyone, with your parents, with your sisters and brothers, give good example to all who see you” (Mother Mazzarello) and “Near or far I am always thinking of you” (Don Bosco),  speak of the FMA educational style of closeness, despite the distance from children and young people at this time.

Numerous initiatives are proposed through the Province’s website and Facebook page: a post is published every day with the thought of the Pope’s homily and a video with the Salesian Goodnight # lìdovesei  given by the FMA, laity, and young people. In addition, conducted online are times of adoration, vespers, recitation of the Rosary, and various initiatives proposed by the Communities.

On the Facebook page, online teaching experiences and charitable activities lived by the Educating Communities are also shared. On the website, in the rubric section  Ti scrivo da, (I am writing to you from), you can find stories and photos of the pastoral initiatives of the various communities of the Province, which express the creativity put in place to live the emergence of the coronavirus ‘far but close’, according to the Salesian Charism.
