Sabanagrande (Colombia). During 2025, and especially in November, the Educating Community of Our Lady of Fatima Normal School of Sabanagrande, of Saint Mary Mazzarello Province (CMM) celebrated its 75th anniversary of institutional life with great joy and gratitude.

Under the motto, “75 years inspiring teachers for a bright future”, numerous activities were organized that involved all levels of the Educating Community: students, teachers, families, Past pupils, local and religious authorities, in a true family and festive spirit.

Since its founding in 1949, this teacher formation institution has been a point of reference for pedagogical and social development in the Atlantic region, distinguished by its academic quality, its commitment to comprehensive education, and its fidelity to the educational style of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello. Over the course of these seventy-five years, it has sown hope in the hearts of thousands of girls and young people, forming educators with a vocation, social sensitivity, and skills suited to the needs of the area.

The Normal School has been recognized as a regional development hub, promoting innovative projects for children and youth and consolidating an educational proposal that combines academic excellence with the promotion of human and Christian values. Its educational action is inspired by the Preventive System, which educates through reason, religion, and loving-kindness, generating environments of trust, respect, and joy.

Currently, the Institution has more than 2000 students distributed in the levels of Preschool, Primary School, Middle and Secondary School, and the Complementary Formation Program. The latter, oriented towards the formation of teachers, continues to be a point of reference for its humanistic approach, its academic rigor, and its ability to respond to contemporary educational challenges.

During the month of November, there were several celebratory events dedicated to families and staff, but the peak days were the 12th and 13th, with the Eucharistic Celebrations by age group and the 14th, with the gala evening with the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians

The anniversary celebrations were an opportunity to recognize the journey taken, thank those who made this educational work possible, and renew our commitment to the mission of forming educators who bring light to society. Every activity carried out – from pedagogical meetings to artistic and religious expressions – was a testament to a living community, passionate about educating and transforming.
