(Ecuador). On 27 June 2025, “Troncatti Fest 2025” took place in online mode, the music festival in competition format organized by the Sacred Heart Province (ECU), which had as protagonists the young people of the FMA educational institutions of the country, in homage to the life and mission of Sister Maria Troncatti in view of her canonization on 19 October 2025.

With the motto, “Mission that inspires, music that unites”, the Troncatti Fest was conceived as a platform to promote youth artistic creativity, strengthen fraternity among FMA works, and generate a repertoire of unreleased songs – in text and music – inspired by the figure of Sister Maria Troncatti.

The general organization of the festival was entrusted to the “Maria Auxiliatrice” Community of Manta, under the coordination of Juan Manuel Bailón, teacher and enthusiastic animator of the project, with the initial accompaniment of Sister Nancy Quilambaqui and, in the final phase, Sister Bertha Pulla, Director and Rector of the Educational Unit, who led a valuable team of collaborators.

The official convocation to all FMA institutions in the Country took place on 17 March 2025, and the participants registered in two categories: soloists and bands. In a first virtual phase, each group submitted their own video with the song in competition. The videos were published between 18 and 24 June on the official social networks of Sister Maria Troncatti where, as part of the score were also considered the reactions and reception of the public (Facebook and Instagram).

The final phase of the Troncatti Fest was broadcast on 27 June live streaming via Facebook and on the YouTube Channel of the Province and it was a real show full of talent, creativity, and emotion.

The performances were evaluated by a jury composed of Sister Ayda Tuarez Saltos, FMA; Marcos Tulio Delgado, music pedagogue; and Jaime Tenesaca, journalist and composer, according to technical and artistic criteria that included instrumental performance, the intonation, audio-visual quality, and thematic content focused on the missionary life of Sister Troncatti.

Ten educational Institutions participated, representing the different regions of the Country, including Guayaquil, Quito, Cuenca, Riobamba, Macas, and Wasak’entsa. After a succession of songs in full Salesian spirit, the presenters announced the winners of the Troncatti Fest:

During the final, the Provincial Vicar, Sister Ayda Tuarez, thanked on behalf of the entire Province those who made this project possible, emphasizing the pastoral richness of these songs in the path to the Canonization of Sister Maria Troncatti. She also thanked the support of Editorial Didáctica and Corporación CANS, sponsors engaged in education and youth art.

The Social Communication Team has also actively accompanied the process of dissemination of the event, working closely with the organizers and the participating communities to ensure a quality artistic production of national scope.

Soon the ten musical productions, together with their lyrics, will be available on the official YouTube channel Salesianas Ecuador, as a testimony of art and youth faith. They will be a valuable resource to animate formation days and celebratory moments, highlighting the missionary witness and dedication of Sister Maria Troncatti among the new generations.
