Pieszyce (Poland). From 30 April to 4 May 2024, Saint John Bosco Community of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Pieszyce, of Mary Help of Christians Province (PLA), hosted a large group of young people gathered to participate in the annual event of the Youth Festival of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM).
The slogan, “The dream comes true. In its time you will understand everything” guided participants to the discovery of their talents. Thanks to the workshops and activities proposed, the young people were able to develop their creative, manual, artistic skills, and above all to rediscover the sense of being together in joy. Accompanied by the FMA, by Fr. Łukasz Piskuła, Salesian of Don Bosco, and other invited guests, the young people experienced intense moments full of testimonies, enjoying the joy of dancing and singing together, of walking in the mountains, and being around the bonfire.
The most important gift – being able to be in the presence of the Lord – renewed in the hearts of those present the great desire to live their faith intensely. During the days of the Feast there were times of spirituality and of common and personal prayer: the daily Eucharist, the time of meditation on the Word, adoration, the sacrament of Reconciliation.
The Youth Festival ended with a lively concert of Christian music, organized in the Pieszyce Cultural Center, and a greeting from Sister Anna Szczêsna, Provincial of PLA. The participants, full of happiness and enthusiasm, returned home eager to see each other again and to relive this experience of joy and hope under the gaze of Don Bosco and Mary Help of Christians.
