(Myanmar). The Salesian sisters collaborate with NEWRIComm – LEF to provide access to drinking water for 1,800 people in the village of Hlaing Thar Yar. The FMA act as coordinators to create the clean water long awaited by the villagers.

The Provincial of “Mary our Help” Province, Cambodia-Myanmar (CMY), Sister Jessica Salvana, and Sister Maria Goretti Thu Zar Aung joined the other LEF partners for the International Water Week in Singapore, which was held at Marina Bay Sands Convention Center, from 8 to 12 July 2018.

As one of the six grantees of the Lien Environmental Fellowship in the development of the community of Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute, the two sisters were invited to attend the Convention organized by NEWRI on 10 July 2018. After the Convention, the beneficiaries met for the orientation of the various NEWRIComm projects in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, Laos, Bhutan and Myanmar. The discussion was also focused on the responsibilities of each beneficiary in networking with the organization.
