Personal data processed

When subscribing to our newsletter, you are asked for some fundamental data in order to be able to send you our communications; in particular, you are asked for your name, surname and e-mail address on which to receive the newsletter (hereinafter, “Personal Data”).

Purpose and legal basis of the processing

We use your Personal Data to send you information relating to events organized by our Institute (by way of example but not limited to: conferences, seminars, emergencies, humanitarian campaigns, fundraising). The purpose for which we process your Personal Data concerns exclusively the sending of our newsletter. The legal basis that justifies the processing is your consent (art. 6, par. 1, letter a) of the GDPR). To provide your consent simply click on the “Subscribe me” button.

The provision of your Personal Data is optional. In case of refusal, by not selecting the “Subscribe me” button, your data will not be stored and, therefore, you will not receive any communications relating to the Institute’s events. We remind you that if you decide to subscribe, you can, at any time, revoke the consent provided and unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the appropriate “Modify your subscription” link at the bottom of each email sent. Following this operation, your data will be deleted and you will not receive further communications via e-mail from the Institute.

Storage times

Following registration for the newsletter, your Personal Data will be stored until your consent is revoked. Following the revocation, which you can express in the manner indicated in the previous paragraph, your Personal Data will be deleted without unjustified delay compatibly with our technical procedures.

Communication and dissemination of data

The Personal Data collected may be processed by the Institute’s staff and its collaborators relating to the functions responsible for pursuing the purpose indicated above, who have been expressly authorized to process and who have received adequate operating instructions. Such data may also be processed by companies that provide services on behalf of the Data Controller, and which therefore hold the role of data controllers.

Your rights

You can ask the Data Controller for access to the Personal Data concerning you, their rectification or cancellation, the integration of incomplete personal data and the limitation of processing in the cases provided for by art. 18 of the GDPR. Since the processing is based on consent, you have the right to revoke this consent according to the methods indicated in the previous paragraphs.

At any time, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority, as well as resort to other means of protection provided for by the applicable legislation.
