Rome (Italy). In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, online formation extends to an increasing number of areas, especially where it is necessary to reach and support the people involved in the processes.

The Administration Sector of the of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians has taken on this challenge, organizing online seminars for Provincial Bursars and FMA and lay collaborators, to respond to the requests encountered during the development and use of the FMA Collaborative Platform.

The FMA Collaborative Platform was developed over the last four years to facilitate the exchange of information and data between the FMA Provinces and the Administration Sector of the Institute, and between the individual Houses and the Provinces, in order to support the province and local works in the best way possible.

Currently, the Fourth Edition of the Platform has begun and 70 Provinces have completed the control phases of the Houses and Works and are entering the data regarding those who attend the FMA Works.

Between 11 September and 16 October 2020, five online seminars took place – two in Italian, three in English, one in Spanish – and another one in Spanish is scheduled. There were over 420 participants between FMA and lay collaborators, representing 58 Provinces of the 5 continents.

Sr. Marie Gannon FMA, who is responsible for the implementation of the FMA Collaborative Platform, presented the participants with its history, nature, and structure, and also guided the different groups towards a better understanding of the use of online forms and Excel spreadsheets.

Through the explanation of the Manuals and the use of practical examples, Sr. Marie answered the questions of the participants on the steps for entering data onto the Platform. She also highlighted the richness of the Reports, available at provincial level in the 12 data areas of the Platform. The participants appreciated the experience and expressed the request for further information on other aspects of the FMA Collaborative Platform.
