Roma (Italia). La Embajada de Filipinas ante la Santa Sede ha concedido a sor Runita Galve Borja, Consejera General para la Pastoral Juvenil del Instituto de las Hijas de María Auxiliadora, un galardón por su servicio a la Iglesia y al país. El reconocimiento, concedido oficialmente el 3 de noviembre de 2023, fue recogido por ella en la Embajada de Roma en febrero de 2024.
En la Carta dirigida a Sor Runita, la Embajadora, Sra. Myla Grace Ragenia Catalbas Macahilig, se expresó así:
“Al recordar el tema ‘Darte para dar’ de la celebración del 500 aniversario de la introducción del cristianismo en Filipinas (2021), nos damos cuenta de que Filipinas ha llegado a un punto en el que está en condiciones de ‘retribuir’ a la Iglesia Madre.
Uno de los dones más preciosos que el País ha ofrecido a la Iglesia son sus numerosos hijos e hijas que han elegido emprender la vida sacerdotal-religiosa. En este momento, vemos a muchos de estos sacerdotes y religiosas asumiendo posiciones de responsabilidad y liderazgo en sus respectivas órdenes/congregaciones.
Por su parte, la Embajada cree que ha llegado el momento de reconocer el servicio que estos líderes están prestando a sus comunidades y reconocer que, al asumir estos roles, también honran a Filipinas y a la Nación Filipina.
Tengo el privilegio de informarle que la hemos identificado como uno de estos líderes honorables, en reconocimiento al servicio que está brindando a la Iglesia y al País”.
Felicitaciones a Sor Runita, con el deseo de continuar su servicio al Instituto y a la Iglesia con la misma pasión y entusiasmo, en el espíritu del «da mihi animas” para la salvación de los jóvenes, especialmente de los más pobres.
