A partir dos recursos que a natureza e a sociedade lhe deram, Teresa come\u00e7ou a procurar o verdadeiro sentido da sua vida e, depois de perceber a luz, decidiu &#8220;irrevogavelmente&#8221; entrar num instituto religioso educativo pobre para dar vida \u00e0s meninas que n\u00e3o gozavam da mesma sorte que ela. Prop\u00f4s-se &#8220;passar despercebida&#8221; entre elas e entre as irm\u00e3s s\u00f3 para fazer o bem, discretamente e em sil\u00eancio, imitando Aquele que a chamara para o seguir mais de perto.<\/p>\n<p>Algu\u00e9m poderia ter-se perguntado: a sua escolha foi uma recusa caprichosa da vida burguesa? Uma decis\u00e3o errada? Uma revolta juvenil contra a fam\u00edlia? Nada disso!
