O tema escolhido para o evento em 2018 \u00e9 \u201cALFABETIZA\u00c7\u00c3O E DESENVOLVIMENTO DAS HABILIDADES\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Esta data foi institu\u00edda para fazer crescer a consci\u00eancia dos governos e da sociedade civil sobre a necessidade de investir sempre mais na educa\u00e7\u00e3o, de se empenhar para fazer crescer a taxa de alfabetiza\u00e7\u00e3o e de refletir sobre os problemas e os desafios a afrontar nesse campo.<\/p>\n<p>A alfabetiza\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 um aspecto chave para alcan\u00e7ar os Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel no marco da Agenda 2030. As metas de desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel, endossadas pelos l\u00edderes mundiais, em setembro de 2015, promovem o acesso universal \u00e0 educa\u00e7\u00e3o de qualidade, e oportunidades de aprendizagem ao longo da vida da pessoa. Em particular, a ONU reitera que uma das finalidades do Objetivo 4 \u00e9 assegurar que todos os jovens aprendam a ler e escrever, tenham uma compreens\u00e3o b\u00e1sica da aritm\u00e9tica e que os adultos que n\u00e3o t\u00eam esse conhecimento tenham oportunidades de adquiri-lo.<\/p>\n<p>Na <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opam.it\/1\/international_literacy_day_4187836.html\"><strong>mensagem<\/strong><\/a> (link <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opam.it\/1\/international_literacy_day_4187836.html\">http:\/\/www.opam.it\/1\/international_literacy_day_4187836.html<\/a>) para a Jornada, o Diretor Geral da Unesco, Audrey AZOULAY, revela os desafios atuais no \u00e2mbito da alfabetiza\u00e7\u00e3o:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHoje, no mundo todo, mais de 260 milh\u00f5es de crian\u00e7as e adolescentes n\u00e3o est\u00e3o matriculados em escola; seis sobre dez crian\u00e7as e adolescentes \u2013 cerca de 617 milh\u00f5es \u2013 n\u00e3o adquirem as habilidades m\u00ednimas em alfabetiza\u00e7\u00e3o e c\u00e1lculo; 750 milh\u00f5es de jovens e adultos ainda n\u00e3o sabem ler e escrever \u2013 e entre estes, dois ter\u00e7os s\u00e3o mulheres. Estas car\u00eancias profundamente enfraquecedoras levam a uma exclus\u00e3o real da sociedade e perpetuam uma espiral de desigualdades sociais e desiguldades de g\u00eanero. Acrescente-se a isto um novo desafio: um mundo em evolu\u00e7\u00e3o, cujo ritmo de inova\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica est\u00e1 em constante acelera\u00e7\u00e3o. Para encontrar um lugar na sociedade, ter um trabalho e responder aos desafios sociais, econ\u00f4micos e ambientais, as habilidades tradicionais de alfabetiza\u00e7\u00e3o e c\u00e1lculo j\u00e1 n\u00e3o s\u00e3o soficientes; novas habilidades, entre as quais as tecnologias da informa\u00e7\u00e3o e da comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, est\u00e3o se tornando sempre mais necess\u00e1rias.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Preparar jovens e adultos para lugares de trabalho, a maior parte dos quais ainda nem foram inventados, \u00e9 um desafio. Ter acesso \u00e0 aprendizagem durante toda a vida, tirar proveito das diversas formas de forma\u00e7\u00e3o e beneficiar-se das melhores oportunidades de mudan\u00e7a tornaram-se portanto indispens\u00e1veis [&#8230;] Nesta Jornada Internacional convido todas as partes interessadas no mundo da educa\u00e7\u00e3o, e n\u00e3o s\u00f3, porque \u00e9 uma causa que diz respeito a todos, a mobilizar-nos para que o ideal de uma sociedade global totalmente alfabetizada se torne mais real.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p>A Jornada Internacional da Alfabetiza\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 importante para o Instituto das Filhas de Maria Auxiliadora, cuja miss\u00e3o \u00e9 a Educa\u00e7\u00e3o. Para cada FMA, como educadora, \u00e9 uma oportunidade para valorizar e promover a alfabetiza\u00e7\u00e3o nas Escolas e nos Centros de alfabetiza\u00e7\u00e3o no mundo, que acolhem os mais pobres e necessitados.
