{"id":50473,"date":"2021-08-25T11:06:05","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T09:06:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/infosphere\/dono-di-dio-alla-chiesa-e-al-mondo-afo\/"},"modified":"2021-08-25T21:27:19","modified_gmt":"2021-08-25T19:27:19","slug":"gift-of-god-to-the-church-and-to-the-world-afo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/en\/ifma-en\/gift-of-god-to-the-church-and-to-the-world-afo\/","title":{"rendered":"Gift of God to the church and to the world  \u2013 AFO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lom\u00e9 (Togo).<\/strong> On 21 August\u00a0 2021 in Lom\u00e9, Togo, three Daughters of Mary Help of Christians from <em>Mother of God Province<\/em> (AFO) made their Perpetual Vows in the FMA Institute and an FMA celebrated the 25<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a0anniversary of religious profession.<\/p>\n<p>The Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Msgr. Barrigah-Benissan Nicod\u00e8me, Metropolitan Archbishop of Lom\u00e9 and Administrator of the Diocese of Atakpam\u00e9, took place at the Parish of <em>Mary Help of Christians<\/em> in Gb\u00e9ny\u00e9dzi, Lom\u00e9. The Provincial of <em>Our Lady of Peace<\/em> (AFO) Province, Fr. Jos\u00e9 El\u00e9gb\u00e9d\u00e9, some Salesians of Don Bosco, and diocesan priests concelebrated. The parents and some relatives of the New Perpetuals and of the FMA Jubilarian were present.<\/p>\n<p>In his homily, the Archbishop emphasized preferential love for God, charity, and fraternal love: three inseparable dimensions in religious life, which is a gift of God to the Church and to the world. The Archbishop reminded the New Perpetuals and the FMA who celebrated her 25<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of their fidelity to the commitment of Consecration, a sublime and demanding mission, exhorting them to be signs and witnesses of God&#8217;s love for young people and those they meet.<\/p>\n<p>After the homily, the Rite of Perpetual Profession took place. Perpetual Profession is a public and ecclesial act, a definitive consecration that commits the Daughter of Mary Help of Christians to give herself totally to God, loved above all else, in joyful service to young people, according to the spirit of the Preventive System of St. John Bosco and St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello.<\/p>\n<p>During the Rite, according to local custom, the parents gave their blessing to their daughters. At the end of the Mass, the Provincial, Sr. Yolande Kikange, expressed her gratitude for the celebration, hoping for the gift of new vocations among the young women.
