{"id":49239,"date":"2021-08-02T09:27:27","date_gmt":"2021-08-02T07:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/infosphere\/seguire-cristo-piu-da-vicino\/"},"modified":"2021-08-02T16:13:52","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T14:13:52","slug":"follow-christ-more-closely","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/en\/ifma-en\/follow-christ-more-closely\/","title":{"rendered":"Follow Christ more closely"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Newton (United States).<\/strong> From 1\u00a0 to 26\u00a0 July 2021, at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Newton, New Jersey, <em>St. Joseph Province<\/em> (SEC), seven FMA Temporary Professed, three from the 1<sup>st<\/sup> \u00a0month and four from the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> \u00a0month, lived the formative experience of the Second Novitiate, on the theme <strong><em>\u201cFollowing Christ more closely\u201d.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the daily conferences, the elements of the vocation of the Daughter of Mary Help of Christians were studied in depth: vows, mission, community life, and prayer. Among the speakers were some members of the FMA General Council, and others of the Province of <em>Mary Immaculate (SUO)<\/em> and of <em>St. Joseph Province SEC<\/em>. Most of the meetings took place online.<\/p>\n<p>The Mother General of the FMA Institute, Sr. Yvonne Reungoat, spoke to the <em>Temporary Professed<\/em> about the meaning of Perpetual Profession. <em>\u201cPreparing for Perpetual Vows means giving everything to Jesus. Accept that Jesus is the One who will decide where to send us and what to ask of us. \u2026 The FMA is consecrated to God in her heart. This is our identity, consecration to Jesus.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A Temporary Professed Sister shared: <em>\u201cWe are happy to have had this time to reflect on our vocational journey and to deepen our response to Christ. We were able to rediscover the richness of the Constitutions. Looking at our personal paths, we were amazed at how we have grown in the sense of belonging to the Institute. Mother Yvonne shared with us how Perpetual Profession makes us &#8216;forever&#8217; part of the Institute and of a great spiritual Family, and this is exciting.
