Vatican City.<\/strong> On 13 January\u00a0 2021, the Congregation for the Causes of Saints communicates to the Cardinal Vicar of the Diocese of Rome, Card. Angelo De Donatis, the Nulla Osta from the Holy See for the opening of the Cause of Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God, Mother Rosetta Marchese<\/a> (1922-1984).<\/p>\n

With this communication, the diocesan inquiry into the life, virtue, fame of holiness, and signs of Mother Rosetta Marchese continues with the time of listening to witnesses and the collection of documentary evidence.<\/p>\n

Mother Rosetta Marchese was born in Aosta on October 20, 1922. She made her first profession in the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Turin on August 5, 1941. First in Turin and then in Vercelli, she studied to obtain a teacher diploma. In 1947 she graduated in Literature from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. From 1947 to 1958 she was a Teacher in Turin in \u201cMother Mazzarello\u201d Missionary House. From 1959 to 1961 she was the Animator in Caltagirone and from 1961 to 1965 in Rome (Via Dalmatia). In 1965 she was entrusted with the leadership of the large Roman Province \u201cSt. Cecilia”. From 1971 to 1973 she was the Animator of Lecco Olate and then the Provincial of\u00a0 “Mary Immaculate” Province of Milan.<\/p>\n

In 1975, during the XVI General Chapter, she was elected Visiting Councilor and in the following General Chapter of 1981, she was elected Superior General.<\/p>\n

On 8 March 1984, after a long illness offered like Mother Mazzarello for the holiness of the Institute, Mother Rosetta concludes her earthly life. In July 2019 her Cause of Beatification<\/em> opens.<\/p>\n

Her profound interiority and her educational passion in the footsteps of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello are generative sources of life and hope for the FMA Institute, for the whole Salesian Family, and for the Church.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
