{"id":33671,"date":"2020-10-22T07:00:49","date_gmt":"2020-10-22T05:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/infosphere\/commemorare-e-ringraziare\/"},"modified":"2020-10-22T16:53:00","modified_gmt":"2020-10-22T14:53:00","slug":"to-commemorate-is-to-thank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/en\/ifma-en\/to-commemorate-is-to-thank\/","title":{"rendered":"To commemorate is to thank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Quito (Ecuador)<\/strong> The Educating Community of\u00a0 Mary Help of Christians Private Educational Unit (Unidad Educativa Particular Mar\u00eda Auxiliadora) of Quito, of\u00a0 Sacred Heart Province of Ecuador (ECU), celebrates the 80<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of its foundation (1940-2020).<\/p>\n<p>The Work was born in 1940 as a <em>Normal Catholic School of Mary Help of Christians<\/em> for the formation of teachers, with the aim of preparing &#8220;<em>good Christians and honest citizens<\/em>&#8220;, to educate pupils as participatory and co-responsible citizens. In the 80 years of life of the School there has been no lack of God&#8217;s action, the presence of Our Lady of Don Bosco, the vivacity of the FMA Community, the passionate mission of educators, parents, and students united by the Salesian charism.<\/p>\n<p>The slogan<strong> &#8220;It is you who did everything and will continue to do so!&#8221;<\/strong> accompanied the three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/80_Celebrazioni-Quito.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">celebratory events <\/a>\u00a0inaugurated on 1 October 2020 with the\u00a0 Eucharistic Celebration of Gratitude, followed by a charismatic cultural meeting. The Webinar &#8220;Patrons and Founders: Salesian Educational Heritage&#8221; was proposed on 8 October and on 15 October the celebrations closed with a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MariAuxiliadoraQuito\/videos\/2063223773827003\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">solemn \u00a0virtual session<\/a>\u201d &#8211; with the presence of authorities, teachers, FMA, students, and families &#8211; led and animated by the students.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;To commemorate is to give thanks, to let the situations we truly love pass through our hearts&#8221;
