{"id":28780,"date":"2020-08-09T15:00:49","date_gmt":"2020-08-09T13:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/infosphere\/professione-perpetua-in-cambogia\/"},"modified":"2020-08-12T18:31:04","modified_gmt":"2020-08-12T16:31:04","slug":"perpetual-profession-in-cambodia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/en\/ifma-en\/perpetual-profession-in-cambodia\/","title":{"rendered":"Perpetual Profession in Cambodia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Phnom Penh (Cambodia)<\/strong> On 5 August 2020 in the Provincial House of St. John Bosco in Phnom Penh of Mary Our Help Province of Cambodia &#8211; Myanmar (CMY), the second FMA of Cambodia made her Perpetual Profession.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure compliance with health regulations due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Celebration took place in the atrium of the School set up for the occasion, rather than in the Chapel. Holy Mass was presided over by Msgr. Bruno Cosme Mep, Apostolic Vicar of Kampong Cham (Cambodia) and concelebrated by 9 other priests.<\/p>\n<p>Present at the celebration was the family, of Buddhist religion, of the Perpetual Professed, who met the FMA by attending the Course in Home Economics\/Hotelier at Don Bosco Professional Center in Phnom Penh. Later, she worked as a cook for the FMA Community of the Provincial House for 5 years. It is here that, as she herself states, <em>&#8220;I decided to join them because I was inspired by their life, their joy, and their mission. Before that, the Salesian Sisters had caught my attention for being different women than I was used to seeing, enough to make me think: I want to become like them&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During these years of FMA religious life, she was in charge of the young interns, taught Morals to the young people of the Professional Center, and was a catechist in the parish of St. Joseph. She is currently part of the Community of St. Joseph and teaches Morals to High School students.<\/p>\n<p>On the day of her \u2018yes forever\u2019, she expresses praise and gratitude in this way: <em>&#8220;I thank all the FMA missionaries who sowed the seed of the Word of God in the Cambodian land, brought Jesus Christ into my life, and transmitted to me the faith and the charism of our Founders, Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello,<\/em> <em>for the education of young people.
