Maca\u00e9 (Brazil)<\/strong> On 6 June 2020, on channel Youtube<\/a> of the Salesian Faculty of Mary Help of Christians in Maca\u00e9<\/a>,\u00a0of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Our Lady of Penha Province of Rio de Janeiro (BRJ), an online conference was held entitled “Employability for the new time”, on the theme of work in the post-Pandemic scenario of Covid-19.<\/p>\n

The conference was held by Leonardo Ribeiro, PhD student at the COPPE \/ UFRJ University of Rio de Janeiro and CEO of Para Dar Certo; and by Dr. Marli Arruda, Psychologist of Organizations, business consultant, and executive partner of the Face Nova Company Treinare and Gest\u00e3o de Pessoas. The moderator of the event was Silvia Louren\u00e7o, Coordinator of the Administration Course and of the Talent Agency of the Salesian University of Maca\u00e9.<\/p>\n

“It is important to think about the trend of employment in this competitive world, which will be even more so in the scenario that will arise after the Pandemic we are experiencing. The post-pandemic time will have an impact both on the business world and on interpersonal relationships. It is possible to perceive this change beginning with us. With this conference we would like to stimulate reflection and action, because without action there are no results,”<\/em> said Silvia Louren\u00e7o, providing advice on how to reconfigure your curriculum and retrain for new challenges to be faced.<\/p>\n

According to Marli Arruda, when choosing a curriculum, the recruiter asks questions to the candidate according to a precise intentionality, therefore it is necessary to be communicative, creative, and take care of their social networks: \u201cCurrently in recruitment, many companies ask for the creation of videos in which to talk about yourself, for this you have to be prepared. What is expected in this \u2018new era\u2019, with all the changes it entails, is the ability to solve problems creatively. So, in addition to a good resume, you need to be creative, and also know how to make a video that captures the recruiter’s attention”.<\/em><\/p>\n

Leonardo Ribeiro concludes the conference by stressing that it is necessary to take advantage of this time to transform the large amount of information that is received daily into knowledge, to then translate it into practice and open up to the new. <\/em>\u201cWe live in cycles. The post-pandemic change will be drastic in all areas of the market and for each of us. We are inside a structure that has already changed and will be this way for years to come. Opportunities don’t come by themselves. What leads us to change is the daily habit of studying and acquiring skills.
