Rome (Italy).\u00a0 <\/strong>In preparation for the solemnity of the Immaculate, the Salesian Family Sector shares the proposal for the novena in the steps of the synod journey.<\/p>\n

The Working Document<\/em> of the XV Ordinary General Assembly of the Bishops Synod on the Young is the occasion and the basis for the proposal for the Novena of the Immaculate.\u00a0 Some \u2018key words\u2019 of the document will accompany the preparation for the Solemnity of the Tota Pulchra, perfect model of Holiness described in the Letter to the Ephesians: \u201cHoly and immaculate in love\u201d and a magnificent work of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

The \u2018key words\u2019 help us to reflect on the \u2018pastoral conversion\u2019, the imperative indicated by Pope Francis to the whole Church and taken up again many times in the Acts of GC XXIII as the horizon that calls us to assume a new commitment in the educational mission (n. 7 and 29).<\/p>\n

Devotion to the Immaculate deeply marked the life and the impassioned apostolic mandate of Don Bosco and of Mother Mazzarello: a strong impulse to live more coherently the Da mihi animas, coetera tolle. <\/em><\/p>\n

Each day, the Novena considers an aspect of the Working Document of the Synod of the Young.\u00a0 The text, gathering the reflections of the young people who participated in the pre-synod journey, is a precious call to look at their real needs, to leave our securities, and pastoral and educational habits to go to meet them where they can really be found.<\/p>\n
