United States and Canada.<\/strong> Summertime in the charismatic tradition of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians is a time in which to continue to accompany the children and young people in an educative project that joins together diversion and relaxation of body and soul, indispensable at the end of the scholastic year, and human and Christian values of the Salesian proposal of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello.\u00a0 It is the occasion for human and Christian growth in a serene environment rich in values, in which motor and expressive activities educate to a positive use of free time.<\/p>\n

The situation determined by the Covid-19 pandemic for the summer of 2020, requires the re-planning in many contexts of the activities of the Oratories, Youth Centers, and in the structure of the FMA works regarding the norms for distancing and for security established by the national and regional governing organs.<\/p>\n

To respond to these needs and meet the requests of the families, from the collaboration between St. Joseph Province<\/em> of the United States and Canada (SEC) and of Mary Immaculate<\/em> Province <\/em>(SUO) of the United States, the proposal came for a Virtual Summer Camp <\/strong>for children and young people aged 7 to 14 of the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n

The camp takes place from 29 June to 24 July 2020 and plans for activities, games, times for prayer and interactive encounters online through the Zoom platform directed by the FMA, Novices, Postulants, and Young Women in the Period\u00a0 of Assessment and Guidance (PAG).<\/p>\n

The idea of the FMA is that of offering a kind of \u2018virtual game park\u2019, in which children and young people can meet and experience the welcome of a community amid diversions and times for spirituality. \u00a0It deals with the first experience of a virtual camp that the two Provinces will implement through networking.\u00a0 This calls for sharing of talents, abilities, and knowledge of the FMA and the young women in formation to develop ideas to offer to the participants. To the tutorials on magic tricks, recipes in the kitchen, and creative workshops, the daily \u2018Good News\u2019 will be added, thus completing the Salesian styled proposal.<\/p>\n
