{"id":2630,"date":"2018-12-28T21:56:08","date_gmt":"2018-12-28T20:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/?p=2630"},"modified":"2019-06-27T14:37:55","modified_gmt":"2019-06-27T12:37:55","slug":"sanctity-also-for-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/en\/ifma-en\/salesian-charism\/sanctity-also-for-you\/","title":{"rendered":"Sanctity also for you"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rome (Italy).<\/strong> On December 27, 2018 Strenna 2019 was presented to the whole Salesian Family at the Generalate of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Rome.<\/p>\n<p>The title of Strenna 2019 is <em>&#8220;SANCTITY ALSO FOR YOU&#8221;<\/em> and elaborates the biblical text &#8220;That my joy may be in you&#8221; (Jn 15:11).<\/p>\n<p>Present at the event were Mother Yvonne Reungoat, Mother General of the FMA, and the General Council of the FMA; Fr Filiberto Gonz\u00e1lez, General Councilor for Social Communication; Fr Eusebio Mu\u00f1oz, Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family; the novices of the International Novitiates of Rome and Castelgandolfo; FMA of the Communities of the Pre-Province; communities of the Roman Province; SDB; and other members of the Salesian Family.<\/p>\n<p>It was a truly original evening in the format of a television talk show, where the protagonists were words and sharing guided by the two young hosts, the novices Maria Laura and Andreja, and the special guest: Fr. \u00c1ngel Fern\u00e1ndez Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians and Author of the Strenna.<\/p>\n<p>The Rector Major\u2019s presentation was preceded by viewing a video of the Strenna.\u00a0 Then, Fr. Angel was questioned by the two hosts and shared the heart of the Message with his presentation through a power point and an impassioned dialog.<\/p>\n<p>The Rector Major stated: \u201cI want to comment on a theme that is very familiar to us, with a title taken directly from the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis on the call to holiness in today\u2019s world: <em>Gaudete et Exsultate<\/em>.\u00a0 By choosing this theme and this title, I want to translate into our language, the strong call to Sanctity that Pope Francis has addressed to the whole Church\u201d.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/santita-per-te.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"td-modal-image alignleft wp-image-1602 lazyload\" title=\"Santit\u00e0 anche per te\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/santita-per-te.jpg\" alt=\"Santit\u00e0 anche per te\" width=\"350\" height=\"234\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 350px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 350\/234;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>What steps are we to undertake courageously on the path of Sanctity?\u00a0 What are the indicators of sanctity?\u00a0 What are the journeys of sanctity in the light of Salesian Sanctity? <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sanctity is not the privilege of a few but is everyone\u2019s right.\u00a0 Pope Francis says that every human being as such has the right to live and be happy (Cf. <em>Laudato S\u00ec<\/em> n. 43).\u00a0 As SF we are called to realize this commitment to happiness, bringing Gospel joy to everyone and above all, walking in holiness to awaken the world with a style of life that is coherent and radiant, with a language that all men and women of today can understand: the language of sanctity (Cf. <em>Final Synod Document<\/em> n. 166).<\/p>\n<p>Mother General, Sr. Yvonne Reungoat, then thanked Fr. Angel, manifesting the desire \u201cthat it be translated into the commitment to live as Salesian Family, the journey of daily holiness, not alone but together with and for the young, in the style of Salesian holiness, the daily one that Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello lived with the young in Valdocco and Mornese\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Strenna 2019 will be presented to the entire Salesian Family at the Salesian Family Spirituality Days that will be held at Valdocco on January 10-13, 2019, on the Strenna 2019 theme: \u201cSanctity also for you\u201d in the presence of the 400 delegates belonging to the 31 groups of the Salesian Family from all the Continents.<\/p>\n<p>The Video and Poster of Strenna 2019 are available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sdb.org\/it\/rettor-maggiore\/88-strenne-rm\/1765-strenna-2019-poster-e-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Web Site<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rome (Italy).
