Rome (Italy)<\/strong>. On March 9, 2020<\/strong>, a “Round Table” will be held at the “Auxilium” – Rome (Italy) on the theme: “Women Education Church. <\/strong><\/em>Critical <\/em><\/strong>issues and resources<\/em><\/strong> for an educational <\/em><\/strong>alliance.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the context of the International Women’s Day and the start of the celebrations for the 50th<\/sup> \u00a0anniversary of the erection of the Pontifical Faculty of Rome, from 15.30 to 17.30, the “Auxilium” promotes a conversation between Ambassadors to the Holy See.<\/p>\n

The Round Table, moderated by Andrea Monda<\/strong>, Director of “L\u2019Osservatore Romano”, is an ideal preparation for the Global Compact on Education<\/strong> which will be initiated at the Vatican on 14 May 2020.<\/p>\n

It is unique that the study seminar is promoted in the first Pontifical Faculty directed by women<\/strong>, with the specialty of research in the Sciences of Education, and that the dialogue takes place with women who, due to their ecclesial position and their skills, have a singular perception and experience of the Church.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ambassadors to the Holy See, Sally Axworthy<\/strong> (United Kingdom), Elisabeth Beton Del\u00e8gue<\/strong> (France), Franziska Honsowitz<\/strong> (Austria), Grace Relucio Princesa<\/strong> (Philippines), Miroslava Rosas<\/strong> (Panama), Mar\u00eda Elvira Vel\u00e1squez Rivas-Plata<\/strong> (Peru), and Caroline Weijers<\/strong> (Kingdom of the Netherlands) will offer their testimony on the trinomial “women church education” starting from the characteristics of their countries of origin.<\/p>\n

Listening to the voices that come from different contexts and institutions is an opportunity to work in synergy with a new educational culture<\/strong> that from a small place on the periphery can reach other contexts in an unexpected way.<\/p>\n

Directed for over fifty years by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, the Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences “Auxilium” expresses its cultural mission characterized by internationality and interculturality, as a consolidated and lived experience, and also the goal for \u00a0the formation of the university to build strong identities in an increasingly multi-ethnic and multicultural society; with the formation of educational professionalism in constant attention to the transformations of contemporary society and involving all professions, from the most traditional to the most innovative and recent ones.<\/p>\n

It is the same mission that Benedict XVI called “service of intellectual charity”, declined in the formation of the new generations of educators and professionals of education.<\/p>\n
