{"id":15220,"date":"2019-12-05T16:28:54","date_gmt":"2019-12-05T15:28:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/infosphere\/capitolo-ispettoriale-a-manaus\/"},"modified":"2019-12-17T16:57:36","modified_gmt":"2019-12-17T15:57:36","slug":"provincial-chapter-at-manaus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/en\/ifma-en\/salesian-charism\/provincial-chapter-at-manaus\/","title":{"rendered":"Provincial Chapter at Manaus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Manaus (Brazil)<\/strong> The Provincial Chapter of <em>Laura Vicuna<\/em> Province (BMA), with seventy participants among FMA, laity, and young people, took place on November 12-14, 2019, at the Mornese House of Manaus.\u00a0 The welcome to the participants was taken care of by the Referents of the Sectors who gave life to a retrospective of the previous ones, referring to the theme of the General Chapter: <em>&#8220;Do whatever he tells you \u2013 Communities that generate life in the heart of Contemporaneity&#8221;.<\/em> Among songs and explanations, the reception highlighted the different Marian titles of the Patrons of the States in which there are the different houses of the Provinces: <em>Our Lady Help of Christians<\/em> (Porto Velho \/ RO), <em>Our Lady Immaculate Conception<\/em> (Manaus \/ AM) which welcomed the participants.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, children and adolescents living in situations of social vulnerability, guests in Mamma Margherita Home, presented a wonderful show centered around the phrase <em>&#8220;Do whatever he tells you&#8221;<\/em>. They called attention to the cry of the Amazon and, even more, children, adolescents, and young people threatened by drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, etc. It was a moment of great emotion.<\/p>\n<p>In opening the Chapter, the Provincial, Sr Carmelira de Lima Concei\u00e7\u00e3o, presented Mary&#8217;s attitude at the Wedding of Cana with great depth and sensitivity, making a parallel with contemporaneity and the commitment to build and be communities that generate life for everyone, especially for young people.<\/p>\n<p>In the opening Eucharist, Fr. Taddeo dos Santos Canavarros, SDB, auxiliary bishop of Manaus, highlighted the qualities of Mary, her participation in the Plan of Salvation, together with her interventions in favor of the People of God, recalling the participants to a Marian devotion truly embodied in the life of the people who call for justice and freedom.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/capitolo-BMA_2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-15212 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/capitolo-BMA_2.jpg\" alt=\"lavori di gruppo capitolo ispettoriale BMA\" width=\"350\" height=\"233\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/capitolo-BMA_2.jpg 1181w, https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/capitolo-BMA_2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/capitolo-BMA_2-696x464.jpg 696w, https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/capitolo-BMA_2-630x420.jpg 630w\" data-sizes=\"auto\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 350px;
