San Paolo (Brazil).<\/strong> On 11 October 2025 – the date on which Pope Leo XIV promoted a prayer initiative for peace in the vigil of the Jubilee of Marian Spirituality, also recalling the anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council – the OIEC (Office International de l’Enseignement Catholique) launched the publication, “A School for Peace \u2013 Towards global educational fraternity”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The publication presents testimonies and good educational practices from all continents<\/strong>, strengthening the mission of education as a path to reconciliation, fraternity, and equality, especially with regard to the education of girls and women, seen as one of the foundations of sustainable peace.<\/p>\n

Available free of charge in French<\/a><\/span>, English<\/span><\/a> and Spanish<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, the book constitutes an invitation for every school to become a laboratory of humanity, where we learn to listen, dialogue, cooperate, and hope, fundamental pillars of a culture of peace.<\/p>\n

On pages 43, 46, and 47, are found pedagogical and community initiatives carried out in the Schools of\u00a0 Our Lady Aparecida<\/em> Province (BAP), which concretely express the Salesian commitment to education for peace and global fraternity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Col\u00e9gio de Santa In\u00eas <\/a><\/span>\u00a0– San Paolo <\/strong>(pg. 43)<\/p>\n

The Santa In\u00eas School is presented as an example of peaceful coexistence and integral formation, which promotes educational actions that stimulate respect, empathy, and dialogue. The experience underlines the importance of active listening and peaceful resolution of conflicts as part of daily school life, in harmony with the values of the Salesian charism.<\/p>\n

Our Lady Aparecida Province (BAP) <\/strong>(pgs. 46 e 47)<\/p>\n

These pages illustrate in greater depth the work carried out by the BAP Province, emphasizing projects to promote peace, citizenship, and gender equality in many of its schools and social works.<\/p>\n

Instituto S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9<\/span><\/a> – S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos (pag. 50)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Faithful to the Salesian charism, the Institute S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 was highlighted with the project, “Oratorian Heart in Practice”, created to live the commitments of the Global Educational Pact in everyday school life. The initiative promotes concrete solidarity between children, young people, and local communities, combining a well-structured urban school with a rural school in a vulnerable situation.<\/p>\n

The story shows how the Educating Communities of the BAP Province promote a pedagogy of presence<\/strong>, based on the spirituality of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello, encouraging youth and female protagonism and inspiring attitudes of solidarity and reconciliation.<\/p>\n

The publication, inspired by the Global Educational Pact proposed by Pope Francis, reinforces the message that peace is built in the classroom <\/strong>and that educating is sowing hope<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the Introduction we read, \u201cThis short book is aimed at all those who work in the field of education \u2013 teachers, principals, school staff, specialized educators, animators, Formators, and pastoral managers \u2013 convinced that their profession is much more than a simple job. It is a human and social mission, a daily work of peace.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
