{"id":144016,"date":"2025-10-06T12:30:56","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T10:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/infosphere\/riunione-e-nuova-presidente-acssa-spagna\/"},"modified":"2025-10-11T22:17:56","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T20:17:56","slug":"meeting-and-new-president-acssa-spain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/en\/ifma-en\/meeting-and-new-president-acssa-spain\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting and new President ACSSA Spain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Madrid (Spain).<\/strong> On 27 September 2025, in Madrid, at the headquarters of the <em>Mary Help of Christians<\/em> Province (SPA), the meeting of the Association of Connoisseurs of Salesian History of Spain (ACSSA-E) was held, with the participation of members of the Salesian community engaged in research, dissemination, and conservation of the Salesian historical heritage.<\/p>\n<p>The day began with a prayer presided over by the President, Fr. Jes\u00fas-Graciliano Gonz\u00e1lez, Salesian of Don Bosco of <em>Saint James the Greater<\/em> Province (SSM), followed by the approval of the previous minutes. The Chairman introduced the session, noting the excellent reception of <strong>no. 11 of the journal REACSSA<\/strong>, published in May and devoted to the missions. He also officially welcomed <strong>Pilar Prieto<\/strong> as a new member of the Association.<\/p>\n<p>During the session, information was shared on some initiatives, such as the exhibits of the Missionary Office, guided tours of the Salesian-Estrecho church, and progress in research on historical figures of Salesian martyrs and of Blessed Augustus Czartoryski.<\/p>\n<p>One of the central moments was the presentation of the reports that ACSSA-E will bring to the <strong>Continental Seminar, which will be held from 22 to 26 October in Rome<\/strong>. Three studies of particular note were highlighted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Spanish contribution to the Salesian missions<\/strong>, by Jes\u00fas-Graciliano Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The contribution of the Spanish Daughters of Mary Help of Christians to the Salesian Missions<\/strong> <strong>(1886-2025)<\/strong>, by Fatima Quevedo.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Salesian missionaries: A complete list of Salesians sent in mission<\/strong>, by Antonio Fuentes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The report on the closure of the CCS publishing house and future prospects for Salesian publications was also presented, in order to adequately inform the Association.<\/p>\n<p>In relation to the next issue of the REACSSA magazine, the figure of the <strong>Salesian coadjutor<\/strong> was proposed as a topic of particular interest, with the aim of examining his identity and vocational aspects in depth.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-144010 alignleft lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Riunione-ACCSA-Spagna_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 240px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 240\/300;\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lastly, the new presidency of ACSSA-E was elected, which saw Sister Mar\u00eda Teresa Batista Llano, FMA, elected by consensus<\/strong>, who received unanimous support. This new phase opens with the proposal to revise the statutes, to adapt the organizational structure to current challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Sister Mar\u00eda Teresa takes over from Fr.
