Santa Tecla (El Salvador).<\/strong> From 24 to 27 June 2025, the X Meeting of the Communication Team of the CIMAC Interprovincial Conference (ECOCIMAC) was held in Santa Tecla. The Province of SS. Salvatore<\/em> (CAM), host of the event, welcomed with joy the participants – Paulina Weigend Rodr\u00edguez (MMO); Sister Gabriela Trinidad Murgu\u00eda (MME); Sister Dalila Carolina Erazo (CAM); Cintia Rebeca Blanco Figueroa (CAR); Sister Gertrudys Diaz (ANT); Sister Marie Pierrette Louijuste (HAI) – in\u00a0 Santa In\u00e9s School<\/em>, fostering an atmosphere of fraternity and a deep sense of mission.<\/p>\n

It was an opportunity for meeting, formation, and joint reflection, with the aim of promoting ongoing formation in relation to educational practice, taking into account the progress and prospects of recent years in this Sector.<\/p>\n

Other objectives were: to know the context of communication today (artificial intelligence, media and digital literacy), to strengthen educational practices; to resume the annual institutional communication plan, consolidating it on the basis of the guidelines given by the Institute; allow the exchange of communicative educational practices developed in the different Provinces and the review and evaluation of the strategic plan 2023-2025 of ECOCIMAC.<\/p>\n

At the opening of the meeting, the communication team of the CAM Province was presented, composed of four lay people, present throughout the duration of the meeting. There was also a message from Sister Ausilia di Siena, General Councilor for Communication of the FMA Institute, who urged the participants to keep in mind “the current educational challenges – in the midst of social, cultural, and digital changes – that ask us to refine our way of communicating, not only to be more effective, but to be more authentic, more attentive, more capable of listening.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Sister Doris Jaimes, Coordinator of the Communications Team of America (ECOSAM), launched an online call to action, encouraging members to network to create communion and hope, and reflect on the challenges and opportunities in this context.<\/p>\n

On behalf of Sister Cesarina Batista, President of CIMAC, Sister Elizabeth Ru\u00edz, CAM councilor, read her letter stating that everything done to promote Educommunication continues to generate life and hope in all interventions.<\/p>\n

During the four days of the meeting, essential themes for educational action were explored:<\/strong> the challenges of artificial intelligence, media and digital literacy, organizational culture in a Salesian key, the need for clear internal communication processes, the strengthening of institutional identity through marketing and strategic planning. The formation was led by Sisters and teachers with great experience in the field of communication, including Sister Rosa Mollo, FMA, Prof. Enrique Duque, Dr. John Freddy Mayor, Rebeca Brito, and Patricio Nava – who helped illuminate the practices in light of the documents of the Institute, local realities, and new languages of the digital culture.<\/p>\n

One of the key moments was the review of the ECOCIMAC Strategic Plan, which will guide the steps in this field over the coming years. The importance of walking in communion, with a vision of the future and in fidelity to the Salesian charism was reaffirmed, generating educative-communicative processes that give voice to all, that weave communities and communicate life.<\/p>\n

The meeting was also an opportunity to share various educative-communicative experiences lived in the Provinces. Through presentations and testimonies, the richness of initiatives that, in different contexts, make present a communication that evangelizes, educates, and transforms was recognized. Each shared experience has made it possible to broaden the vision, discover common strengths, and feel part of a living network of communication, in a Salesian way.<\/p>\n

During the fraternal day, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Universidad Centro Americana Jos\u00e9 Sime\u00f3n Ca\u00f1as (UCA), where Mons. Romero Center is located, a place that cultivates the memory of the martyred Church of El Salvador. They visited the Hall of Memory of the Martyrs, the Rose Garden, the Chapel of Elba and Celina, the classrooms of the association.<\/p>\n

They also visited the “Capilla Martirial Monse\u00f1or Romero”, where Archbishop \u00d3scar Arnulfo Romero was murdered on 24 March 1980, while celebrating Mass, a memorial place that honors his legacy and martyrdom. Before the altar of the event, they renewed their faith and commitment in the Church. In the afternoon, they visited the historic center of San Salvador, where the cathedral, the palace, and the national library (BINAES), a space of great modernity for the promotion of culture, are located.<\/p>\n

This meeting was an experience of fraternity, joy, and hope. The participants prayed together and dialogued with openness and authenticity, renewing their commitment to a communication in the style of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello: close, joyful, engaged with young people, and attentive to the signs of the times.<\/p>\n

Concluding, they expressed their gratitude to the CAM Province for its hospitality and to the lay people of the Provincial Communication Team for the richness of their contribution.<\/p>\n\r\n
