Rome (Italy).<\/strong>On 8 March 2025, the Communication Sector of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians announces the launch of the renewed website of DMA Magazine (Da mihi animas)<\/strong> www.rivistadma.org<\/strong><\/a><\/span> :<\/p>\n

“We are pleased to announce the launch of DMA Magazine\u2019s new website (Da mihi animas), which represents an important shift towards the digital. The site has been designed to offer an online reading experience of the paper magazine, allowing all readers to access the content in a fully digital format, easily accessible by pc, tablet, smartphone, and always updated.\u201d <\/em>These are the words of the General Councilor for Communication, Sister Ausilia De Siena.<\/p>\n

Published in various languages – French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese – the magazine is intended as a formative and self-formation tool for the FMA, the Educating Communities, lay educators, and young people.<\/p>\n

The Superior General, Mother Chiara Cazzuola, highlights its educative qualities:<\/p>\n

“The DMA magazine responds to various formative needs within the Salesian community and beyond. Inspired by the motto of Don Bosco ‘Da mihi animas, cetera tolle’, it keeps alive the educative and missionary charism by offering contents for reflection, formation, and in-depth study on educational, social, and spiritual themes. It helps educators, religious and lay people to keep up to date on the pastoral and cultural challenges of the time, updating the Salesian tradition and adapting it to the needs of today\u2019s young people. It analyzes social and cultural phenomena and interprets the present with a typically Salesian evangelical perspective. It strengthens the sense of belonging and interaction between the different Salesian realities, also thanks to the integration with social media. It is a valid formation tool to be fully valued at personal and community level.”<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Intuitive and familiar navigation \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

To ensure a smooth transition, the navigation menu has remained similar to the previous version of the site. The main sections include:<\/p>\n

– History<\/strong>, dedicated to the presentation of the magazine\u2019s roots and editorial path.<\/p>\n

– Sections<\/strong>, contains the main sections of the journal such as “Editorials”, “Dossiers” and “Formation”, etc.<\/p>\n

– Multimedia<\/strong>, section dedicated to videos and graphics related to the articles treated by the magazine and specially made to enrich and deepen the topics.<\/p>\n

– Translations<\/strong>, offers a complete archive with all editions of the magazine in PDF format, accessible in the six languages of publication.<\/p>\n

To facilitate the user experience, an advanced search bar has also been implemented, which makes it easy to find specific content within the site.<\/p>\n

Dynamic and functional homepage <\/strong><\/p>\n

The new homepage has been designed with a “card” design, a system that allows immediate access to the most recent and relevant content. At the center is a main card highlighting the latest published Dossier<\/strong> and, below it, a button to access the translations of the magazine into the various languages. On the left side, there are the cards dedicated to the Editorial<\/strong> and Camilla\u2019s<\/strong> column. On the right, instead, there are the cards to download in printable format the poster published in the third cover and the quote present in the fourth cover.<\/p>\n

Interactive Sections <\/strong><\/p>\n

Under this main design, two interactive sections have been added to make navigation more engaging. The first is dedicated to the section “Form@re<\/strong>“: by clicking on one of the listed headings, the last articles published in the selected heading are shown. Below, a similar section is reserved for the session “Comunic@re<\/strong>“, which works the same way, offering easy access to the most recent articles in each section.<\/p>\n

Interaction with social media <\/strong><\/p>\n

The site interacts with social media to broaden its reach and engage the Salesian community by publishing excerpts of articles, posts with images, quotes, infographics, direct links to full articles on the magazine\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

Virtual<\/strong> Tour <\/strong><\/p>\n

Finally, the new site also includes links to two interactive virtual tours: one of the Marian Hall and one of the Charism Exhibit, located in Rome in the Generalate of the FMA Institute. These paths allow visitors to explore two significant spaces for the community of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, offering a unique immersive experience.<\/p>\n

The creation of the new DMA Magazine website responds to the requests of the GCXXIV, with specific reference to the 2nd<\/sup> priority choice, to promote the culture of communication “to be a proactive presence, especially in the digital environments”.<\/em><\/p>\n
