Rome (Italy).<\/strong> The winners of the competition for the creation of the official logo and song-anthem of the IV World Meeting of Higher Education Institutions (ISS-FMA), which will be held from 9 to 13 March 2026, in the Philippines, have been announced.<\/p>\n

The IV World Meeting of ISS-FMA will have as its theme, “Empowerment of young people to be protagonists of social transformation”<\/em><\/strong> and aims, as a general objective, to strengthen the mission of ISS-FMA, promoting the formation of educators and socially engaged young people. The Meeting aims to contribute to the development of leaders who act as active agents of change, based on values inspired by Christian humanism and solidarity, aligned with the Salesian educative tradition.<\/p>\n

The competition<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u00a0for the creation of the logo and the anthem, held from 2 September to 12 December 2024, involved a total of 9 Provinces, represented by 9 ISS-FMA<\/strong> of different Countries: Philippines, India, Spain, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Haiti. Joining them were the group of the FMA Aspirants of the Philippines and an FMA of the Province of Peru.<\/p>\n

As for the logo contest, 20 logos were received from 10 different locations<\/strong>, with 59 people<\/strong> (students and others) involved.<\/p>\n

Regarding the contest for the Song-Anthem, 10 songs were received from 6 different locations<\/strong>, with the same number of people involved: 59.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winning logo <\/strong><\/p>\n

A commission of 16 people analyzed the 20 logos received and gave a score according to the requirements required by the regulation – mastery\/ skill, creativity\/ originality, and design – taking into account the text, which should highlight the theme of the meeting.<\/p>\n

Participants came from different countries: Brazil, Colombia, the Philippines, Haiti, India, Italy, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Dominican Republic, Spain, Peru, and Zambia.<\/p>\n

The logo created by Sister Cecilia Emperatriz Alfaro Gil<\/strong>, Animator of Mary Help of Christians<\/em> Community of Chosica, of the Peruvian Province St. Rose of Lima<\/em> (PER), was chosen for its expressiveness and ability to translate the fundamental principles of the event.<\/p>\n

The design reflects the mission of ISS-FMA to promote social commitment, highlighting the role of young people in building a more just, fraternal, and inclusive society. The logo, with dynamic visual elements and including various meanings, transmits the energy and transformative potential of youth, central aspects in the educative mission of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.<\/p>\n

“At the center, the logo of the Higher Studies Institutions (ISS) because it represents all the participants in the meeting and the path that is being taken as a network.<\/em><\/p>\n

At the top, the number IV with the ‘touch’ of a graduate, because in each meeting the option of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians for Superior Instruction and quality Education is strengthened; It enables young people to achieve their goals as professionals and thus generate a change in society.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

On the left are computer networks, because we live in a multimedia society. We are aware of the risks, but also of the wealth that these networks represent for education. 5 colors in the networks represent the five continents, because FMA Institutions of Higher Studies generate hope in the four continents.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

On the right side, the motto of the meeting, “Empowerment of young people, protagonists of change”, because only by giving young people their role as protagonists will it be possible to realize Don Bosco\u2019s dream: ‘Good Christians and honest citizens’.”<\/em><\/p>\n

With this new visual identity, the IV World Meeting of ISS-FMA is ready to bring together participants from different parts of the world – sixteen countries – by uniting efforts around the common goal of empowerment. (Logo in languages<\/a><\/span><\/strong>)<\/p>\n

The winning anthem <\/strong><\/p>\n

A commission of 22 people considered the 10 songs<\/strong>, giving a score according to the rules, taking into account the requirements: the text that should highlight the theme of the meeting, creativity, tempo and melody, organization, relevance and language competence. Participants came from different countries: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Philippines, Haiti, India, Italy, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Spain, United States of America, Venezuela, and Vietnam.<\/p>\n

“We are the future, ready to grow”<\/strong>, is the winning song, with text by Mukila Senthil Kumar, music by Karmukil Velmurugan students of Auxilium College of Education, Regunathapuram, Pudukkottai, Our Lady of the Snow (INT) Province of India.
