Pyin Oo Lwin (Myanmar). <\/strong>Despite the current uncertainties and risky situation,\u00a0 the formation team of FMA Myanmar, in collaboration with some members of Youth Pastoral, Social Communication and Mission Sectors, had organized a five-day Life\u2019s Direction Encounter, \u201cCome and See\u201d experience, for 36 generous and courageous young women from 26 to 30 December 2024 at the Blessed Maria Romero Community, Pyin Oo Lwin, Mary Our Help<\/em> Province (CMY).<\/p>\n

\u201cFiat! Let it be done unto me.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> (Lk 1:38) was the theme for this grace-filled encounter, where young women from FMA communities in Myanmar, former students, and some from various parishes had the opportunity to pause and connect with themselves, God, and nature. The formative experience included activities such as recreation, games, songs and dances, guided meditation, Eucharistic celebrations, personal encounters with the FMA, talks, personal reflection, group sharing, prayer moments, praying the rosary, good night talks, and arts and crafts to help a poor elderly woman repair her small hut, fostering community bonding.<\/p>\n

The inputs were given by Sr. Veronica Nwe Ni Moe, FMA, and Fr. Dominic Aung Ko Myint, SDB, guiding the young women to recognize life as a free and loving gift from God. The participants valued the daily initiatives that deepened their understanding of their lives as God’s beloved creatures, redeemed by Jesus. They were encouraged to say “Yes!” like our Blessed Mother, to any vocation God calls them to.<\/p>\n

The encounter helped them experience God’s love and mercy, appreciate their own lives and those of others, and foster a love for nature. Many expressed that through personal encounters with the FMA guide, their awareness of God’s presence deepened, hope for a better future was strengthened, and resilience in their faith was rekindled. They discovered the meaning of their existence and God’s love, especially in the difficult hopeless situation in the country.<\/p>\n

The FMAs of the Formation Team are grateful to God for the presence of these young women who wish to discern His loving plan for their lives and continue to pray to the Lord of the harvest to bless them with many holy vocations among them. When the situation normalizes, they will face many challenges and need more hands in the Lord\u2019s vineyard.<\/p>\n\r\n
