Subiaco (Italy).<\/strong> San Biagio House of Prayer of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Roman Province St. John Bosco<\/em> (IRO), in collaboration with the Parish of St. Gabriele of the Sorrowful Mother<\/em> in Rome, re-proposes \u201cThe voice of the Psalms\u201d, a reflection on the responsorial psalm of every Sunday of Advent 2024.<\/strong> This proposal favors the deepening of the Word through the Psalms in the context of the liturgical season of Advent, which prepares us to live Christmas.<\/p>\n

Fr. Marco Cantatore comments with a brief reflection on the psalm sung by Sister Vilma Colombo, FMA, Animator of the House of San Biagio, Benedetta Ferrone and Fr. Marco Cantatore. Everything is accompanied on the basis of the zither played by Sister Monica Angulo, FMA.<\/p>\n

The music is taken from the book: \u201cBe the song of your praise\u201d- Responsorial Psalms of the festive lectionary, by the Diocesan Institute of Music and Liturgy \u201cFr. Luigi Guglielmi\u201d. The recording was made in the Sala Miriam Recording, Recording Room of the Parish.<\/p>\n

The psalm of the liturgy of the first Sunday of Advent is Psalm 24, <\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>\u201cwhich is presented,\u201d explains Don Marco, \u201das a supplication to God by King David in the moment of danger. Amid the anguish and anxieties of life a cry rises up: ‘To you, Lord, my soul rises.’ It is the same cry that we can also hear in the entrance antiphon of this first Mass of the liturgical year.\u201d<\/p>\n
