{"id":10247,"date":"2018-08-19T10:18:41","date_gmt":"2018-08-19T08:18:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/infosphere\/con-i-giovani-italiani-siamo-qui\/"},"modified":"2019-11-19T10:24:21","modified_gmt":"2019-11-19T09:24:21","slug":"with-young-italians-we-are-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cgfmanet.org\/en\/infosphere\/church\/with-young-italians-we-are-here\/","title":{"rendered":"With young Italians, WE ARE HERE!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rome (Italy).<\/strong> Tens of thousands of young people from almost 200 dioceses throughout Italy, in the first week of August set out on foot, rediscovering the pilgrim routes of their homeland and converging in Rome on Saturday, 11 August 2018, with the Vigil at the Circus Maximus and Mass in St. Peter&#8217;s Square on 12 August 2018.<\/p>\n<p>It is a significant sign just a few months from the Synod of Bishops that in October, will focus its attention on the proclamation of the faith and the accompaniment of new generations.<\/p>\n<p>It was a unique experience, promoted by the National Service for Youth Ministry of the CEI, to which the young people responded and participated with testimonies, songs, dances, prayers &#8230; in a serene, joyful, fraternal and warm atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>The Sector for Youth Ministry of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians made itself present at this Church event in Italy. Sister Annecie Audate, Sister Ivone Goulart, and Sister Viky Ulate together with the young welcomed the different opportunities to sow the Word of God and to walk together on the streets of Rome, bringing a word of joy and a message of hope.<\/p>\n<p>The word of Pope Francis was received with faith, as a messenger sent by God is welcomed. Pope Francis with his testimony of respectful listening and his wise words, touched the hearts of the young. They committed themselves to live sincere and courageous love, because &#8220;it is not enough to refrain from doing evil to be a good Christian; it is necessary to adhere to the good and do the good &#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The Pope, who deeply believes that the Church is rejuvenated thanks to young Christians, has insisted that &#8220;it is necessary to intervene where evil spreads; because evil spreads where there are no bold Christians who oppose it with the good; we must therefore walk in love, walk in love &#8230; we are now trained after these days of pilgrimage and sun! &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting of young people with the Pope in Rome is the beautiful conclusion of a year lived intensely and also the opportunity for a regenerating breath of oxygen in view of a new pastoral year that promises to be equally rich in events.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rome (Italy).
