Shillong (India).<\/strong> On 29 November 2023, at the Auxilium Life Skills Training Center<\/em> in Nongthymmai, Shillong, of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Immaculate Mary Help of Christians<\/em> Community, Immaculate Heart of Mary <\/em>Province (INS) there was the awarding of diplomas to trainees who completed the two-month Refresher Course in Tailoring and Embroidery, funded by the office of the District Center for Trade and Industry of East Khasi Hills, Shillong (DCIC).<\/p>\n

The course was attended by 25 apprentices formed by two FMA teachers, Sister Rosalin Warbah and Sister Monica Kharkongor. On this feast day, the Director of the DCIC, Mrs. Daphi Kharjana, and the Director General, Mr. S. Majaw, and the Functional Manager of the DCIC, Mrs. Manbhalin Mawa, in addition to the Provincial Vicar of INS, Sister Carmelina Sun and the other interns and teachers of the Center.<\/p>\n

The day began with the words of Sister Rosalin Warbah, Coordinator of the Auxilium Life Skills Formation Center<\/em>, followed by the greeting of the guests, who praised the intense and patient work of the Sisters in teaching the profession and transmitting to the trainees the skills necessary for their future.<\/p>\n

Later, the young apprentices showed, parading on the catwalk, the clothes designed with creativity and sewn by them. Each of the 25 apprentices, who successfully completed the course, finally received the diploma certificate of the Department of Commerce and Industry of the Government of Meghalaya.<\/p>\n

The goal achieved by the trainees is the result of an educational process networked with the Institutions of the territory that focus on young people to transmit them the ability to “critical cultural elaboration, matured in constant confrontation with the Christian vision of the person, of existence, of history, and of building professionalism according to a project of life inspired by the values of the Gospel” (LOME, 167).<\/p>\n\r\n
