Buenos Aires (Argentina) The 7th International Congress of Mary Help of Christians takes place in Argentina, Buenos Aires, from 7 to 11 November 2019. It is a Salesian Family event, and is promoted by the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) in synergy with the Secretariat of the Salesian Family and with the Salesian Family of Argentina. Providentially, it is in the year in which ADMA celebrates the 150th anniversary of its Foundation.

The Marian Congress entitled: “With Mary, Believing Woman”, aimed at knowing, deepening, and spreading devotion to Mary Help of Christians, has as its center the Marian Shrine wanted by Don Bosco, to which the whole population approaches to ask a grace of God through the Help of Christians. It is also the place where Pope Francis was baptized and where every 24th of the month he brought a bouquet of roses to the Help of Christians.

The Marian Congress also occurs on the 140th anniversary of the arrival of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in the neighborhood of Almagro, Buenos Aires on 26 January 1879.

About 1,200 people are attending the Congress, coming from 36 countries of the world, 400 of them from Argentina; the country with the largest number of participants is Italy.

Also present are Mother General, Sr. Yvonne Reungoat, on a visit to the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Argentina, Sr. Maria Luisa Miranda, Councilor for the Salesian Family, and Sr. Leslie Sándigo, Delegate for the Salesian Cooperators.

The VIII International Congress of Mary Help of Christians, a Salesian Family event, is promoted by the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) in agreement with the Secretariat of the Salesian Family and with the Salesian Family of Argentina.
