The Institute began its activities with course in handcrafts, dressmaking and culinary arts. In 1995 the first dream came true when the Minister for Education and Culture, recognised the project as a Basic Technical and Dressmaking course . Between 1997 and 1998, the directors of the Institute presented new proposals to the Minister for Education. The Degree in Craftwork was recognised and in 1999 they started a Scientific Degree, specialising in Textile Crafts. In 2000 the Degree in Preparation and Preservation of Foodstuffs was recognised.
This award was conferred during the Gala Assembly of the M-Paraguay district. During the ceremony the spirit that animates the service of the FMA, past pupils and teachers who work for the young in this centre was highlighted.
